Sixteen players came together for three days at the weekend at Colchester croquet club to play some interactive and exciting croquet.
The selectors weekend is a national AC competition which is open to players whose standard of play falls just below the “Eights”
Two Colchester players were selected to play, but neither reached the last four.
Old friends (and some not so old, the age ranged from 80+ to 17) came together to play eight games lasting a maximum of three hours over the three days, with plenty of time for delicious lunches and teas. A most enjoyable time for all.
The competition was won by Jack Good, a young man from Bolton who had only been playing AC for a year!
