On Friday, under the beautiful Autumn sunshine, Pam Hopper hosted one of the final tournaments of the season – her annual GC Level Play Inter-Club Invitational. Four players each from Colchester, Chelmsford, Maldon, and Southchurch competed for a stunning trophy, hand-crafted by Pam’s husband.
As always, the tournament was played in a competitive yet friendly spirit, with participants well-acquainted from local leagues. The usual format of three round-robin stages in the morning was followed in the afternoon by quarter-finals, semi-finals, and a thrilling final match between Walter Hall from Maldon and Alex Wood from Colchester.
