Colchester Croquet Club began the celebrations for its Centenary year with an Open day at the club house in Elianore Road.
Nearly 60 people attended including ten people who were new to the game .
After one hour of play, members and guests were called in to watch the Mayoress of Colchester, Alderman Lyn Barton, cut the centenary cake. The Croquet club has plans to host more events this year including a centenary competition in the summer. The photo shows the Mayoress with Club President, Chris Sheen .
