Following on from the Club’s triumph in carrying off the EACF GC Handicap league trophy for the second year running in 2025, our team kicked off the 2026 campaign with a visit to Rayleigh. New team Captain Chris Clarke and her team of Marilyn Wood, Paul Trumper and Dave Pearse headed down the A12 to the challenging lawns of Southchurch. In beautiful spring weather Captain Chris led from the front, winning 4 out of 4 singles matches and her doubles match paired with Marilyn. Colchester led by 7 games to 3 at lunchtime and they carried on the good work in the afternoon to earn a resounding win by 13 games to 5. A solid start to the season and our title defence!
