Catering Manager

General Operations

  • Ensure that necessary consumables (e.g. Tea, coffee, milk), bar drinks and snacks are purchased and stored appropriately.
  • Collaborate with the Treasurer to agree on budgets, profit margins, and member pricing, and monitor profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with club members, addressing their feedback to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
  • Liaise with the Treasurer regarding the collection of monies.

Club Lunches & Tournaments

  • Gather customer requirements, such as the number of guests and event dates.
  • Plan menus, determine requirements and ingredients, and set portion sizes.
  • Ensure the timely and efficient setup, execution, and clean-up of catering events.

Catering Team

  • Establish a team of volunteers to assist in the provision of catering for events.
  • Train and manage volunteers, ensuring they are well-prepared to assist.
  • Create staff schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels for all catering events.

Health & Safety

  • Implement and maintain food safety standards and procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Organise the cleaning of food preparation facilities and the proper disposal of rubbish.
